We Belong Together! Shirt Design

We belong Together! I have been wanting to do a t-shirt with a “message” for some time and this is what I came up with. I know that another Eco shirt might be more of the same right now, but this is my first eco based design so I hope it is still enjoyable. I wanted it to feel like an animal kingdom chart with an array of different animals (with humans included) and have a written message that indicates that we are all meant to live together, harmoniously. The more that the human race grows, the more that we have to expand and the more that we expand, the more that we encroach on the territories of animals. I know that this is inevitable, but I think that we should pursue new ways to share our space with animals and harmonize instead of simply driving them out.

This shirt is available on my RedBubble storefront in several color variations.

Japanese Mon Shirt Series

This is a new set of shirts that I created based on Japanese Mon (Family Crests). A few are recreations of old family crests from Japan, but most are my own designs based off of similar themes used in traditional Mon. All of these shirts are available at my RedBubble store front.

Truth

New shirt design that I just got posted today; Truth. Based on my composite style of design the shirt depicts some different elements and the word Truth. Hope you enjoy.

Mask of Terror

New shirt design available for sale at the DesignbySolo Shop. Modeled after an iron Ressi Men style mempo (Japanese Samurai battle mask). The mask design is from the Momoyama period in Japan and was employed by the samurai to inflict debilitating fear upon enemies whom they faced in close combat.
The design is off-white on white to simulate the face emerging from the mist or fog.

New Print -- Life Aquatic

This is one of my earlier designs that I created in this new style, and I feel that its outside influences can be seen, where they are much more subtle or absent completely in the newer designs I have made. The title of this piece is Life Aquatic and is a representation of underwater life, in specific, the life along a coral reef. I think that coral reefs are one of earths greatest treasures and natural beauties and they are all in danger from pollution and other man-made problems. It is up to all of us to take care of the planet and preserve wonders such as these. This design is the only that I have for sale as of right now. It is available here, at my shop.

New T-Shirt Design -- Post Apocalyptic Peace

Have a new t-shirt release for sale in the shop. The inspiration for this new design was a over-the-weekend t-shirt competition for a group of Futurologists. This is my take on things 250 years into the future. Here is my t-shirt description:

The year: 2258
This design is a symbol of the post apocalyptic era. Purpose driven war has given way to war for the sake of war. The land’s have suffered irrevocable trauma and humankind is on the brink of extinction. Man’s only hope is seek solitude in the only region left unspoiled by the Great War, the depths of the Sea. Underwater colonization could act as savior to the Human race.

My design is a play on the “Dove and the Olive Branch.” The dove holding the Olive branch symbolizes hope when all hope was lost, a peace in the midst of turmoil. My design is a Guppy (fish) holding a strand of Kelp. The fish holding a strand of kelp symbolizes the hope for mankind that waits for him beneath the waters, a new frontier untouched by war.

Titan Photgraph Featured on RedBubble Homepage

My photograph, Titan, was featured last night on the RedBubble homepage. I have been a member of Redbubble for a little over five months and this is my second homepage feature within that time frame, which is very exciting. All the works featured last night were photographs taken with a lofi camera (Lomo, Holga, Diana, etc.). I took Titan with my Lomo LC-A+ on the Riviera Maya, Mexico last year. You can purchase framed, matted, etc. versions of Titan at my RedBubble store, or for a less expensive version check out the Solo Print Studio.

Eldritch Design Featured on RedBubble Homepage

My tiny beetle design, Eldritch, has beeen featured on the RedBubble homepage today. I have been a member of the Redbubble artist community since October 2007, where I have a print/clothing shop, and this is the first time I have got a piece featured on the homepage. It is quite rare and a great honor for me to be represented in such a way. Visit Redbubble homepage or check out the Eldritch, design which was inspired by shiny beetle that I photographed with a macro lens.

Featured!!

I had one of my works, Robot Monster, featured in Blanket Magazine's issue 8. "Blanket is a free PDF art + design + photography magazine that is released bi-monthly. It is aimed at uncovering new, emerging talent from around the world." The theme and title of issue 8 was, "I Made This." Under this theme I entered a Robot Monster, which I had recently created after a study of some hand drawing techniques and styles. I also released this design on the RedBubble shop as a t-shirt.

New Shirt Designs Released!

I recently released a new series of shirts on my RedBubble shop front. I have been studying logos and symbols a lot lately, therefore I decided to create symbols for the Earth's elements, including earth, wind, fire, and water; I also have one that features all the elements. I think that the elements kind of symbolize personality traits in a way (fire representing someone who is very passionate, etc.) so I feel like they should have pretty good consumer appeal. Head over to the shop to check them out and let me know what you think!
